Dancing with the Stars Trivia

With over six seasons of Dancing with the Stars available, some of the trivia and facts from the show can actually add to your entertainment value and entertain you themselves.

A little known fact is the ages of some of the contestants. The oldest male contestant was George Hamilton, a spry 66 years of age and the youngest male contestants was just barely 21 years of age, Mario Lopez. These types of differences in celebrity dancers has made the show very interesting.

Along with the oldest male contestant, comes the oldest female contestant at 62 years of age, the lovely Priscilla Presley, widow of Elvis Presley. At the other end, we find Sabrina Bryan, the youngest female contestant at 23 years of age.

When it comes to professional dancers, again there is a wide discrepancy in ages with Nick Kosovich at 43, and Julianne Hough, a mere 19 years of age.

During actual performances, interesting facts and trivia again arise. One of the celebrities with the highest number of bottom two appearances is Jerry Springer. Mr. Springer was seen in the bottom 2, four times before actually being eliminated. This, of course, made for a great show as each time he wound up in the bottom two, it was a suspenseful moment to find out if he was going to be eliminated.

If you take all six seasons and add them together you will see that Edyta Sliwinska has actually appeared in the bottom two, 12 times. Sliwinska is the only professional that has been involved in all six seasons, so this is actually quite good that she's only been there 12 times.

A rather interesting fact is that none of the season winners have ever been in the bottom two. These celebrities include Mario Lopez, Apollo Anton Ohno, Drew Lachey, Helio Castroneves, Emmitt Smith, and Kristi Yamaguchi.

For those professionals who rarely see the bottom two, you'll find Fabian Sanchez, Julian Hoigh, Mark Ballas, each of these professionals have only seen the bottom to once throughout the history of the show.

The talented Kristi Yamaguchi is the celebrity that has placed first in the show eight different times.

There is a bunch of different facts and trivia that can go along with Dancing with the Stars, such as, 6 foot 7 inches is the tallest person to have ever competed in the show, and that title belongs to Clyde Drexler. Along with that fact, you'll find the shortest, Marissa Jeret Winokur, a petite 5 feet, 0 inches. While most people enjoy the show and actual performances, others find it more entertaining to understand facts and trivia and how they can make Dancing with the Stars even more interesting.
